This visual album is inspired by Maisie Cousins, whose works are grotesque, sticky, sweaty and hyper saturated. “Nature is always beautiful and also disgusting. Even the most beautiful people leak, bleed and shit” - Cousins. Stanley Kubrick, his glamorous psychopath, the use of the wide-angled lens, his and ability to disconnect violent acts from viscerally gruesome outcomes. The flesh and bone of Billie Holliday’s Strange Fruit performances at Cafe Society, always performed in a dark room, with a single spotlight on her face.  Every intro, she’d close her eyes as if evoking a prayer.
